Hi, I'm Aiden ๐
I'm a real person and your actual teacher. Nichi, the character you'll meet around the site, is my illustrated counterpart.
Every lesson here is built around your goals, your interests, and your pace, never stress. I grew up learning Japanese myself, and along the way decided there had to be a warmer, more encouraging way to learn than how I was taught.
I've been teaching for 1 year now. Outside of lessons I love playing guitar, drawing, and gaming. I can't wait to share that love of Japanese with you, one lesson at a time.

Questions? I've got answers
What level do I need to start?
None at all! I teach complete beginners through advanced students. We'll figure out the right starting point together.
What time zone are lessons in?
I'm flexible across time zones. The booking calendar automatically shows times in your local time zone.
How long is a lesson, and how do they happen?
Lessons are a full hour, over video call (Zoom/Google Meet). You'll get a link after booking.
What if I need to reschedule?
No problem, just reach out at least 24 hours in advance and we'll find a new time. Inside 24 hours the lesson counts as taught. The full cancellation and refund policy is on the terms page.
What happens in a trial lesson?
We'll chat about your goals, your current level, and what you want to get out of learning Japanese, then dive into a short sample lesson so you can see how I teach. No pressure and no homework, just a relaxed way to see if we're a good fit.
How do I pay?
Once you've booked, I'll email you simple payment details to settle before your first lesson. Payments are handled securely through Stripe, and all prices are in US dollars. For the 4-lesson pack you're welcome to email me first if you'd rather talk it through.
